Any big plans for the 4th? We’re headed to the beach to soak up some sun. Then I may eat my weight in BBQ. That sounds so good right now. This pic is from last year’s 4th at grandma’s house. It’s crazy how much he’s changed in a year. We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend!
Brad and I found out we were expecting the week before Mother’s Day so for my Mother’s Day present he added to my collection of Penguin Classics clothbound books with Great Expectations. More a play on the title than the actual story, but still isn’t he sweet/clever? I love that man!
Young baby #2 is on the way!
I know all the images look pretty much the same. The little dude/dudette was sleeping and did NOT want to be disturbed. We’re due 12/29 so we might have a Christmas or New Year’s baby!
I know posting is hit and miss around here lately. There’s a good reason. It’s because I’m pregnant! (Woo hoo!) Young baby # 2 is on the way and we’re crazy excited, but the downside is the wicked morning sickness. All I want to do is sleep, which is great because my medication for nausea knocks me out. There’s a reason it comes with a warning label about not driving or operating heavy machinery!

We stopped by the CB2 store in Miami last week. Fun, fun! I wish they had more locations. It’s nice to be able to see an item in person before buying it. For example, I posted here about knitted poufs and mentioned the one from CB2. From the images online and in the catalog, I didn’t think that it looked like very good quality, but after seeing them in person I may have had a change of heart. The knitting is thicker and a little nicer than I expected. I’m not saying they are on the same level as the Urchin Poufs or anything, but for $75 they make a unique, multifunctional piece of furniture that will bring a little color and texture to your room. Not too shabby. Also, they’re now available in gray and orange. I think the green may be discontinued, but they still have them in the stores.
